Connecting the Data Center: 25G, 100G and 400G+

Tuesday, 16 May 2017 2:15 pm - 3:05 pm Sponsors: EXFO, Agema, Xilinx

Light Reading BCE, Austin Convention Center, Austin, TX. Room 10AB

Server performance and data center network traffic are growing dramatically. The traditional data center network architecture is being challenged by innovative approaches using both standardized and proprietary interconnects between servers and switches, and within the systems. New technologies becoming available include advanced modulations, high speed copper interconnects and silicon photonics. New 25G, 50G, 100G, 200G and 400G solutions, including 100G single lambda, are becoming available to support low cost links up to 2km and within systems. Components are a critical part of the solution and this session will cover the latest developments, including data center architectures, interconnects and switching.
